PRAISE FOR DR LINDA METCALF

"I had the pleasure of attending the first ever Solution Focused conference last year. I have also attended numerous webinars, listened to podcasts and work in a group with Dr. Metcalf. I always gain information and leave refreshed after one of her trainings. Dr. Metcalf brings a wealth of knowledge and experience applying the Solution Focused model to real world applications. When she is asked a question, her response is so tailored and helpful that you can’t wait to try it yourself. I have grown as a Solution Focused counselor with her help and guidance, which in turn has helped those around me grow using the Solution Focused model.

If you have the chance to attend the Solution Focused conference, you won’t regret it! It will change your whole perspective on supporting students."

- Kevin Kracker, M.Ed., CSC, Hubenak Elementary Counselor

Such conversations result in self-realized behavior changes for students, accountability for teachers and administrators and greatly reduced stress for all. I can't imagine working with students and families any other way."

"Dr Linda Metcalf will show you how to naturally tap into the hearts of students, parents, and create life-changing conversations that build an atmosphere of success throughout the school community.Dr Metcalf knows how to turn difficult, dreaded conversations into life-changing moments filled with possibilities for lasting positive change! She draws on years of first-hand experiences connecting with the hearts of students, teachers, and families in showing us how to have solution focused conversations that are equally helpful for everyone!"

- Patricia Gatlin, M.Ed., LPC, LMFT

"I heartily recommend Dr. Linda Metcalf's work that shows people in all walks of life, from children to adults, how to communicate from a different perspective to actually solve their own problems. Her first book, Counseling Toward Solutions came out in 1995, followed two years later by Parenting Toward Solutions, which earned a starred review in Publishers Weekly. If you are in publishing, you know what that means. I was the lucky editor who acquired those books for Prentice Hall back then. Her work was groundbreaking in 1995 and continues today. To her I say, please carry on. You help to make this a better world."
