Dear friends,

Happy Thanksgiving to my US friends and Happy Fall to my global friends! I hope each of you are well and looking forward to a short holiday break.

I want to say that each of you deserve medals, trophies, and maybe a lifetime supply of coffee and chocolate, or both!

For four years, you’ve listened to me ramble, brainstorm, and supply you with ideas to try out. You’ve nodded along, told me your successes and somehow never hit “unsubscribe.” Honestly, you’re saints in disguise!

But seriously, you are truly valued and cherished by me and Seamus. The work you do every day is nothing short of miraculous - listening, guiding, solution building and occasionally dodging flying pencils, then later asking with a cheerful attitude, “how did you not throw that pencil over there?”

You keep students afloat, teachers inspired, and yourself pushing forward like a superhero in disguise.

Every SF Connection or Monday Ideas article I write is my small way of thanking you and spreading what I’ve learned from you, that you need. It’s fueled by you thanking me in the many emails I get, and the incredible successes that I’m always asking for that you tell me about!  Whenever I hear the successes, I have this wild dream that all students will someday be loving school and, as a result, our schools will be peaceful and safe and our teachers will love their job too. That is what I created SFSU for.

So, thank you.

Thank you for listening, for sharing, and for being the magical unicorns that every school desperately needs.

You light up the Zoom world and I’m incredibly lucky to call you friends! As for me, I promise to keep writing as long as you keep reading and spreading the word that… the solution force can, and will, make the difference.

With admiration, and endless gratitude,

Linda
