"Teachers Rock" Campaign to Lift Spirits

April 28, 20251 min read

Here’s a Monday Ideas project for you to do this week that I think might help your teacher colleagues get through the last few weeks and raise their morale!

It’s a campaign that I have prepared with specific directions to make it easier and fun for you to carry out.

 “Teachers Rock” Notes

The idea is to amplify what’s already working in classrooms by capturing student-voiced exceptions - moments when teachers made a difference - and then reflecting those stories back into the system to inspire, energize, and reinforce a climate of competence and connection.

🧭 Counselor Instructions (Solution Focused Style):

  1. Visit classrooms or coordinate with teachers for a 5-10 minute reflection session.

  2. Prime students with curiosity e.g.: “Think back over this spring… what’s one small thing your teacher did that made school a little better for you?”
“Imagine we’re creating a wall of great moments outside your classroom door. What would your teacher’s moment be?”

  3. Print the Note Card - download here - and invite students to write one authentic moment on the card.

  4. Choose students to collect the cards.

  5. Create a public celebration - ask students to display them on the wall outside the teacher’s door.

Have fun!
