Gratitude, Hope, and One Good Conversation
Happy Thanksgiving to my US friends and Happy Fall season to my global friends.
As you head into this week, I hope you’ll give yourself permission to notice what has already gone right this fall, moments you connected with a hard-to-reach student, small wins in a busy hallway, a counselor–teacher partnership that clicked, a kid who trusted you enough to show up.
Those “tiny successes” are not tiny at all; they’re clues to what you’re doing well and what your school needs more of.
Just keep doing them!
And on a personal note - I am so thankful for you.
Bringing you Monday Ideas each week and producing SF Connection every other week truly is one of my greatest joys. When you show up on my screen, when you send kind emails, stories, and your messages of “this helped today” you encourage me more than you know.
You inspire me to keep doing this work, to keep pushing for hope in schools, and to keep believing in the power of one good conversation.
If you have a Fall break next week, may you rest without guilt, laugh without rushing, and soak in the people and places that refuel you. And when Monday comes back around, may you return with fresh eyes for what’s working, steady hope for what’s possible, and that quiet confidence that you are, truly, making a difference every single day.
